Wedding Photography Superclass
Friday morning bright and early (too early) I had my first superclass with Gordon McGowan on Wedding Photography. For those who don’t know who Gordon McGowan is, in brief he is a highly energetic Scottish Wedding Photographer, and his work can be seen at http://www.gordonmcgowan.co.uk/ .
After seeing a slideshow of Gordon’s past work and achievements we went straight into posing. It was a hands on session with two lovely models, as pictured below. We worked through a mixture of poses suitable for weddings, some of which were basic, classic poses and others that were slightly more out-there, such as lying across the table on signing of the register.
Below are some of my images taken during the session. Now, obviously I’ve put my own twist on in the edits, but these shots were taken with a lowel-id light, held by Gordon’s lovely assistant, and a 50mm 1.8 lens.
The session was enjoyable, the only downside of the four hours was that there were fifteen of us in the group; this was too many for a practical session.
